Sending Your First API Request

Building your first API collection in CAPost requires only a few clicks.

Launch CAPost: Unlock your encrypted vault with your Master Passphrase.
Create a Collection: Click + New Collection in the side panel to start a new workspace.

Initialize Environments: Create two simple environment presets: Development and Staging.

Compose the Request: Choose a GET or POST verb, and use variable injection for base URLs:

```
Run the Execution Runner: Click the Execute button. CAPost will resolve environment variables, inject authenticated headers, and dispatch the request instantly.
Automated Test Assertions: Add test conditions on the right panel:
- Status code equals 200
- Response header Content-Type is application/json
- JSON body field $.data.status equals "created"
