Getting Started in 60 Seconds

Launch CACode in any existing Git repository or project workspace.

1. Open your project terminal:

   cd ~/Projects/my-backend-service

2. Launch CACode:

   cacode

3. Set your AI Model & API Key: On first launch, enter your preferred provider API key (or set environment variables like ANTHROPIC_API_KEY or OPENAI_API_KEY):

   /model claude-3-5-sonnet-20241022

4. Give CACode a Task: Describe the bug or feature request in plain language:

   cacode> Add a /healthz endpoint returning JSON status:ok and write a unit test for it

5. Review the Autonomous Plan: CACode will analyze your workspace, inspect route handlers, and present a structured plan:
   • Reads existing routing files via read_file
   • Applies targeted unified diffs via patch_file
   • Runs go test ./... via execute_command to verify the fix
6. Approve & Commit: Press [Y] to accept changes, or type feedback to refine the solution interactively.
